Remember where you parkedLiberation Day (February 26) celebrates the liberation of Kuwait by a multi-national force from seven months of traumatic Iraqi occupation on February 26, 1991. Each year the day is marked with public gatherings and get-togethers. However, the day is also tinged with sadness as Kuwait remembers and honors the martyrs who lost their lives fighting Iraqi oppression and the 605 P.O.W. 's out of which 236 remains where found and the fate of 378 others is still unknown. This was taken fro an article in the Kuwait Times.
On the last 2 days you go no where near downtown as there are people with silly string spraying anything that moves. They will spray it into your car and at your face. So to be safe it is best to just stay at home. It is fun for the people but for me it is just a little dangerous as they will cover your winshield and stand your wipers up so you can not wipe them off. This way you have to get out and they can spray you in the face.
