This is the first thing you see as you drive into the area. It takes your breathe away.

This is the Iraqi tank that did the damage.

Everything I guess is the way it was left that day. All the houses around have been rebuilt like most of Kuwait but this is a monument to the young Kuwaiti's who fought and died for freedom from Iraq.

The white van that you see in the photo above is the one the Iraqi's arrived in. They knocked on the front door and when they did not get a response they opened fire.

Al-Qurain House: This house of martyrs was the site of a fierce and protracted battle between Iraqi troops with tanks and a group of ill-equipped Kuwaiti freedom fighters, many of whom died just hours before the Iraqi withdrawal from Kuwait. This came from The American Academy website Living in Kuwait.
The Museum consists of three houses located in residential area in Kuwait called "Al-Qurain", many Kuwaiti men of the Kuwaiti resistance group of "Messila" where killed by the Iraqi army on 25th of February 1991 (only one day before the liberation of Kuwait on 26th of February 1991), one of the houses was attacked intensively while the other two houses weren't really effected compared to the first house. I had read about this house and just had to see it. To think these guys knowing they were out manned and armed fought off the Iraqis until they could fight no more and were all killed. The houses are an eerie sight to behold. To see the big tank that shot rounds into this house and to imagine the horror on those mens minds but they were fighting for there homes and land. Iraq did a lot of damage to this country and the people have come back stronger than ever and this will never happen to them again.
