The 2 photos above and the one below I took for Krista. A spaceship landed in Kuwait and all these little horses got off.

The Dhow Harbour is situated right behind the Scientific Complex. Entry is free and anyone can just stroll all the way right up to this harbour to come on-board the 'Fateh el Kheir'. The Fateh el Kheir, which means Bringer of Good Fortune, is the last surviving wooden dhow from the pre-oil days. These lovely wooden ships were used for pearl divers who risked their lives trying to obtain the best quality pearls from the Arabian Gulf. Before the discovery of oil, this was one of the main trade activities in Kuwait. The dhow ship is lovely to see, but you must walk all the way around the Scientific complex to catch sight of it - mind you don't miss it. This explains the 2 above pictures and the one below.

The temp today was a balmy 49 C which is about 118 F. We went out in the afternoon to Avenues to do some grocery shopping and we ate lunch at T.G.I. Fridays. Michael and I split a BBQ chicken salad and then I had fried mushrooms and he had wings. It was a change from what we usually eat when we are out. We then drove back home so that Ash could see Miley Cyrus on one of the morning shows which is on here at 4 p.m.. After that we got back into the car and drove to "The Scientific Center" to see the largest Aquarium in the Middle East. We also went to see the IMAX movie "The Deep Sea" in 3D and it was really good. It costs us 16KD for us to see all of the exhibits which figures out to be $60.21 in US money. So a bit steep but it was well worth the visit.
